INTRODUCTION

Grey’s anatomy is an American medical drama series, filmed in Los Angeles, California but the show itself is based in Seattle. Shonda Rhimes first aired her show on March 27, 2005 on ABC and is still ongoing today (Wikipedia). The show consists of surgical interns, residents and attending doctors. It brings viewers through the lives of their struggles and accomplishments of serving in the medical field, along with maintaining a personal life.  Primarily, the cast starred Ellen Pompeo, who still plays a major role in the show, along with 8 other main characters. Over the 16 years of being on air, many have left the show. Therefore, the most recent season obtained 4 of the original cast.
